Roses, Home-Grown Veg and Stunning Plants at Sugnall Walled Garden
On Sunday 5th July Plant Hunters’ Fairs return to Sugnall Walled Garden near Loggerheads for a brilliant event giving all garden lovers a chance to explore this working 18th Century kitchen garden in at the height of summer. Visitors to the plant fair and garden can also roam the adjacent woods all for the special entry price of just £1.
“We are really excited to be here at completely different time of year to normal. The kitchen garden will be full to brim with vegetables, fruit and flowers and it’s really special to be able to choose from a tearoom menu that showcases the garden’s own produce”.
“As always we have invited our favourite nurseries all with their own unique range of plants from trees to alpines, herbs to herbaceous perennials. Plant lovers will find old favourites, rarities and brand new varieties all lovingly grown by the specialist nurseries. We all love the atmosphere at Sugnall Walled Garden which is intimate, friendly and steeped in history”.
At this time of summer the old roses will be in full bloom and full of fragrance, the herbs will be a-buzz with bees and the strawberries will ripening. It’s the perfect time of year to enjoy a kitchen garden.
Gates open at 10am and the fair continues until 4pm.
