On a lovely summer’s day ,staff, parents ,children and friends of Walton Priory Middle School joined together to take part in their annual Race for Life to raise money for Cancer Research.
The event was opened by Stone Town Mayor, Cllr Mike Williamson and over one hundred and fifty people ran or walked around the school grounds dressed in pink or fancy dress. The youngest entrant was just a few months old and the oldest was
seventy five! The event was very well supported by local businesses including :Walton Co-op, The Flower Room, Lee Walker Butchers, Dave Fox Cars, Stone District Girlguiding and Tesco’s. Everyone who took part received a goody bag and a medal.
Mrs Julie Freeman, Race Organiser and Office Manager at Walton Priory Middle School said, “ we are so proud of the way our whole community has joined together to raise money for such a worthwhile cause”
