Charli XCX, Ella Eyre and Rae Morris to headline The Clothes Show’s iconic ALCATEL ONETOUCH Fashion Theatre Stage
The Clothes Show, the UK’s biggest fashion and beauty event, has announced a whole host of headline acts for its 2015 ALCATEL ONETOUCH Fashion Theatre show. Spanning 4-8 December at Birmingham’s NEC, the stage will welcome over 40 models and dancers for a fast-paced explosion of fashion and high-energy performances as well as trend presentations and appearances from special guests.
Radio 1 presenter Gemma Cairney will kick-start the first day on Friday 4 December along with performances by British singer songwriter Rae Morris. Inspired by the likes of Kate Bush and PJ Harvey, Blackpool’s Rae made her mark with her debut album Unguarded, which shot into the Top 10 in January.
The Saturday line-up is set to be equally exciting, with Radio 1 host Alice Levine taking to the stage to introduce pop sensation Charli XCX who, since releasing her 2013 critically-acclaimed album True Romance, has gone on to co-write brilliantly shouty global behemoth ‘I Love It’ for Icona Pop and the US Number One single ‘Fancy’ with rapper Iggy Azalea. Her second album Sucker includes hit singles such as ‘Doing It’ featuring fellow British singer Rita Ora.
Broadcaster and writer Rick Edwards will then returns to The Clothes Show for the second year in a row to present on Sunday 6 December. Rick has become a firm favourite on and off screen since making his mark back in the early days of T4. He will introduce one of Britain’s most exciting young music talents, Ella Eyre. Since bursting onto the music scene back in 2013 with a ferocious performance on Rudimental’s hit song ‘Waiting All Night’, Ella’s career has gone from strength to strength, with her highly-anticipated debut album, Feline, due for release this summer.
The cheekiest chap in Chelsea, Jamie Laing, will take over the presenting reins for the final two days
