Paws for Thought at Yarnfield Fete – 12th September

Yarnfield Fete will this year be held on the later date of Saturday 12th Sept. The fete will open at 12.00pm and be officially opened at 12.30pm by long time residents of Yarnfield, Catherine, known affectionately as Cath, and Harry Fairbanks who have been married for over 60 years.

Cath has lived in the village all her life and was born in High Lows Lane. During the war Cath was a Swynnerton Rose working at the ROF Munitions Factory, which is now the Army Camp at Cold Meece.

Star attraction at the Fete will be the Paws for Thought Dog display team making a welcome return. Other attractions include a WW2 Enactment Battle, Punch and Judy Show, Gymnastic display, Children’s races, Hog Roast, Bar and all the sideshows normally associated with a Village Fete.

Admission as always will be free and Fete programmes will be distributed throughout the Village in the week leading up to the Fete. Help is still need from Villagers to distribute the Programmes and help with the Fete on the day.
