Charity event – A night to remember, the 7th of November
There will be a night to remember between 7pm -12pm on the 7th of November at Sandon Village Club (opposite The Dog & Doublet).
The evening has been organised to raise funds for local charity The Moira Fund.
On the night there will be a Silent Auction – featuring many great prizes,
and if you’re feeling a little peckish don’t worry, there will be a tasty hog roast on offer.
Live music from The Herbaceous Borders is guaranteed to set the party off, a local eclectic band playing a fusion of music genres, ranging from blues, southern rock, rock & roll, jazz and country, with the occasional dash of reggae thrown in!
The Moira Fund is a grant making charity that was established in memory of Moira Jones, from Weston, who was murdered in Queens Park, Glasgow, in May 2008.
Following her death, family, friends and colleagues of Moira wished to establish a fund in her memory. Now fully established, The Moira Fund makes grants and supports to others who find themselves bereaved through violent death at the hands of another.
