Heritage Day at St Michael and St Wulfad’s – 3rd October

On October 3rd from 10:00am until 4:00pm at St Michael and St Wulfad’s church, you will be able to learn more about the amazing heritage that we have in Stone. The church will be open for visitors not only to experience what wonderful history is contained in and around the building, but also to see special exhibitions arranged for the day.
There will a chance (weather permitting) to climb the stairs in the tower to see the bells and the great view from the top. The mausoleum in the grounds will also be opened. A fascinating display of objects from the First World War will let you get an idea of how this Great War affected the Town in general and also the lives of individuals.
All this is in addition to the many historic items, windows and pictures that can be seen on the monthly open mornings. If that wasn’t enough, refreshments will be available and a chance to relax and chat.
The Heritage Day is on the same date as the Farmers’ Market, so before or after hitting the stalls, come and see what amazing history St Michael and St Wulfad’s church has to offer; October 3rd, 10:00am to 4:00pm.
