Recently described in the New York Times: ‘…you had the sense that you were listening to the future, and the near future at that.’ A young prodigy in her native Russia, Svetlana received scholarships to study at the Royal Northern College of Music [RNCM], working with Manchester Camerata’s principal cellist Hannah Roberts (who recently played the Elgar cello concerto at the Camerata’s full-house concert in Stafford’s Gatehouse theatre). Now based here in the North-West, Svetlana is regularly performing at regional and international festivals or master classes, and as a soloist with orchestras in the UK and Russia.
Recently described by Robert Beale for the Manchester Evening News as “ a young pianist set to make a major impact”. Originally trained in the Ukraine, he was awarded a scholarship to study with Norma Fisher at the Royal Northern College of Music, where he won many major awards, including the coveted RNCM Gold Medal. Slava has appeared as recital and concerto soloist in the Ukraine, Germany, Italy and many parts of the UK. He made his debut in 2009 at London’s Wigmore Hall, receiving glowing reviews, and at the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester, playing with the Manchester Camerata.
