Did you know that Stone lies on the country’s newest pilgrimage route? Named after Saint Werbergh of Chester and Saint Chad of Lichfield, the 92-mile walking route links the cathedrals of these two cities.
This month, route founder David Pott is returning to Stone to launch his 144-page guidebook to the Two Saints Way. It contains detailed route descriptions in both directions, information on places of interest the Way passes through and is illustrated with full colour maps and photos.
“The route’s historic sites, beautiful scenery and hidden treasures provide a perfect opportunity for walkers and pilgrims to connect with the past and find peace in the present,” David writes.
The guidebook launch will take place on November 5th at 7.30 pm at Christ Church Community Centre in Stone. All are welcome, but the organisers ask attendees to contact David Pott in advance by email at email@example.com or by phone on 01770 830317 or 07932 790525 so he can advise them of numbers.
