Barratt Homes West Midlands has donated £500 to the organisers of Yarnfield’s annual village fete.

The house builder is in the process of building a variety of new homes in the village at its development Yarnfield Park on Yarnfield Lane.

The donation was used by organisers of the fete to run a refreshments marquee and licensed bar which they stocked with tea, coffee, cakes as well as a variety of alcoholic beverages.

The event, which was held on the village green in September, saw about 500 people attend. Highlights included the Paws for Thought Dog Display Team, Punch and Judy Show and gymnastics display. There were also children’s races and a hog roast.

Event organiser David Tucker said,

“The event was a great success and was very well attended. This was the second time that Barratt Homes had kindly donated to the event and we are incredibly thankful to them for their support which allowed us to provide refreshments to all visitors.”
