Local voices to sing for Dougie Mac – FREE TICKETS

Three local singing sensations are set to perform at Douglas Macmillan Hospice’s Christmas Concert on Sunday 13th December at the Britannia Stadium. Singer Marc Williams will perform along with Jake Shakeshaft, star of BBC’s The Voice, and local country singing sensation Narn.

22 year old Marc will perform the smash hit ‘See You Again’ by Charlie Puth, which featured in the latest Fast & Furious film earlier this year. He commented:

“I’m delighted to be asked to perform at the Dougie Mac Christmas Concert. I’m really looking forward to performing ‘See You Again’ as well as being part of the Christmas swing-along medley to close the show.
“I’ve been helping out the Dougie Mac for three years now and it’s always an honour to be asked to support.”

20 year old Jake from Clayton, who will put his own spin on a well known song, added:

“I’m delighted to be performing at the Dougie Mac Christmas Concert; I’m sure it will be a day we won’t forget.
“I was honoured to be asked to sing and can’t wait for everyone to hear what we have in store.”

17 year old Narn, who recently released her new EP ‘Nashville Story’, will also perform a solo song and all three performers will be part of a Christmas swing-along medley to close the show.
They will be joined by over 25 local school choirs as well as the winners of the Sentinel’s Sing for your School competition.
Narn commented:

“I performed at the Dougie Mac’s concert last year and I’m delighted to be asked to perform again.
“I’m really looking forward to singing a festive song and another surprise song for all the Dougie Mac supporters.”

Liz Clarke, Head of Community Engagement, added:

“We have plenty in store to make this the best festive day out for all of our supporters.
“With all of the choirs performing and some acts to be announced soon, it promises to be a festive day not to be missed.”
