“Please don’t spend all Mummy’s money,” a volunteer implored youngsters queuing to get into St Dominic Priory School’s November 21st Christmas Fayre. She had a point. With stalls offering high-quality crafts, toiletries, cosmetics, handbags, toys and games, not to mention scrumptious chocs and cakes, there was every temptation to splurge the budget early!
Headteacher Rebecca Harrison was delighted with the response.
“I’d like to say a big thank-you to our parents, children and stallholders for supporting our Fayre this year. Also to members of the local community who came along, it’s good to welcome them into School. The stalls look beautiful and the atmosphere in the hall has a real buzz.”
“It feels like I’ve been here for ever,” reflected Rebecca, who completes her first year as Headteacher in January.
“I’ve been made to feel so welcome by St Dominic’s children, parents and staff. I aim to keep delivering an excellent standard of education while maintaining the nurturing care which is at the core of St Dominic’s philosophy. I feel blessed.”
