Stone born & raised actress Melissa Potts has landed her first professional role since graduating from a prestigious London stage school; having been cast at Cinderella in a panto at a Norfolk theatre.

Melissa, who trained at Stone’s Rooftop Studios before going on to win a sought-after place at The Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, won the role following a tough round of auditions. In an interesting twist the director of the Panto – which will run at the Sheringham Little Theatre – is a former teacher of Melissa’s; Head of Drama at Rooftop Studios, Nick Earnshaw.

Nick says:

“When held open auditions at the theatre in Norfolk, the last thing I expected was for the star of our show to have been from Staffordshire – let alone Stone, and one of our former pupils!”

Melissa says:

“I have so many fond memories of my years growing up at Rooftop – I was always taught to express myself through performing; whether that be in a song, dance or a pure acting piece.”
