Funding news for Council house warming

A £60k pot of money to keep vulnerable home owners warm and healthy this winter is now up for grabs.

Stafford Borough Council is promoting a scheme which offers grants to replace old, inefficient or broken boilers and may also be able to provide heating for the first time.

The grants will be rolled out on a first come, first served basis so Council leaders are urging householders to apply early.

Councillor Jeremy Pert, Cabinet Member for Community said:

“Ensuring everyone has a warm and healthy home is a priority for the Council so we are really pleased to offer some help for people that are struggling to heat their properties this winter.

“Funding is limited so I would urge anyone to contact us immediately to find out if they are eligible for assistance.”
