Stone farmers’ market, tomorrow, Saturday 5th December will still be going ahead as planned, due to Stone Town Council allowing traders to use their vehicles and heavy tables instead of the marquees.
Stafford Borough Council had already made the decision to call off the market due to the high winds that are forecast to hit Stone this weekend. They said the winds had the potential to affect the marquees and put members of the public at risk.
Then Stone Town Council stepped in…
Stone Town Council are now allowing traders to trade from a vehicle, a car or small van, and a heavy table.
They will not be supplying any marquees and will also be preventing traders from using their own.
If you’re a trader and would like any more information, call the town council on 01785 619740.
