The Lions have enjoyed another successful year when they have been able to help the people of Stone in a number of ways.

The mobility scheme continues to prove a very worthwhile project with many people taking advantage of the many mobility aids available, it gives a great deal of satisfaction to the club members to see the number of scooters that are being used in the town, giving the users so much more independence.

The club has organised a number of fund raisers during the year and have also benefited by the support of a number of local sponsors, without which they would not have been able have hosted the Prostate evening at the Stone House Hotel, this proved to be a very successful service project which will hopefully be repeated in 2016.

At a time when service organisations have been finding it very difficult to not only recruit new members but also to retain existing ones it came as a very pleasant task for Lion President Chris to be able to “Badge” and welcome two new members to the Stone Lions.

During the year at various events around Stone the Lions have continued to advertise their services and to try and promote interest from potential new members and they hope that this is the beginning of a surge in enthusiasm from the local community.

Lion President and the members of the Stone Lions Club would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have supported them throughout the year and look forward to this continuing in the future.
