The Salvation Army’s Major Gill visits Walton Priory Middle

Recently as part of their RE lessons the Year 5 students at Walton Priory Middle School invited Major Gill Stacey in to school to talk about her role within The Salvation Army.

She spoke about how she and her colleagues have helped homeless people around the world. The children tried on her hat and practiced the special Salvation Army salute. Afterwards the children watched Major Gill perform her tambourine display.
Mrs Kate Woods, class teacher, said

“The children really enjoyed the visit from Major Gill, they asked lots of questions and we are very grateful to their parents who donated a huge range of toiletries for the homeless this Christmas”.
