rough close common

Volunteers required for Winter conservation work, this Sunday 17 January between 10am – 12.30pm at Rough Close Common, Meir Heath.

Join volunteers at Rough Close Common this Sunday. They will be clearing gorse and tidying up the site. To encourage volunteers there is free soup and a roll to everyone that comes along. Information on the common will be available and the borough council hope to get more people interested in the site and its management.

The event will help support “The Friends of the Common”, a local community group devoted to looking after this popular site. The event is also supported by Fulford Parish Council.

The event is free. Meet at St Matthew’s School car park.

Please wear sensible outdoor clothes and bring gardening gloves if you have them. All tools will be provided.
