On the 2nd February eight pupils from Christ Church Academy took part in the County Sportshall Athletics event at Fenton Manor.
Pupils showed their talent across a number of events including throwing, jumping, sprinting and endurance races. After a full day the girls from year 7 achieved a silver medal in the County event, missing out on gold by just 2 points!
Head of Health and Physical Education Mrs Marsden said
“We were extremely proud of the girls and all their efforts. This was a team event and the girls had to each fulfil their individual roles in order to ensure the success of the team.”
