Katharine House Hospice are delighted to announce that the speaker for their Annual Ladies Luncheon has been confirmed as Edwina Currie. The luncheon will take place on Thursday 12th May at the County Showground in Stafford and once more is supported by Hixon Airfield Services.
The Luncheon is one of the Hospice’s most popular fundraising events and is attended by over 400 ladies who enjoy a light luncheon followed by a guest speaker. Edwina Currie has been called “the best communicator the Tories have,” and “a brash and energetic life force.”
Her life to date has been summed up by fellow writer and MP Sir Julian Critchley:
“Edwina Currie has a brass neck, a silver tongue and a golden pen.”
Award winner, presenter, reality TV star, author, politician Edwina has done it all. You will not want to miss this one!
Tickets are priced at £30.00 each and include a sparkling reception drink followed by a delicious two course meal. Edwina Currie will be addressing the Ladies after they have eaten. Last year the luncheon raised around £6,000 from the Luncheon providing vital funds for the Hospice.
