With a huge chocolate egg up for grabs and lots of special activities lined up, World of Wedgwood will be providing big fun for families this Easter from 25th March to 15th April.
Up to Sunday 27th March visitors will be invited to guess the weight of a giant chocolate egg – and whoever’s guess is closest to its actual weight gets to take it home. There will be workshops in the Decorating Studio enabling visitors to make their own Easter bunny by press moulding clay, which they can take home to decorate. Also in the Decorating Studio, people can design an Easter inspired plate, with a prize for the best design within four age categories. World of Wedgwood’s popular Play With Clay sessions will start on Easter Monday 28th March, giving visitors the chance to have a go at throwing a pot free of charge. Also on Monday 28th March there will be face painting and giant games to keep the little ones entertained.
In addition, there will be an Easter themed trail around the Wedgwood Museum from 25th March to 15th April to test families on their investigative and fact-finding skills. On Sunday 27th March the Dining Hall will be offering a special Easter menu too. Throughout the Easter period the Dining Hall’s popular children’s menu will be available.
Heather Broadhurst, General Manager at World of Wedgwood, said:
“We have fantastic facilities here for families, including indoor and outdoor children’s play areas and lots of outdoor space to get some fresh air in when the weather’s good. With all of this in addition to the special activities we have organised, I think we can promise families a great day out when they spend time with us over Easter.”
The ‘Guess The Weight of the Egg’ competition will finish on Sunday 27th March, with the winner being notified the same day. The press-moulding workshops, Easter plate decorating workshops and Wedgwood Museum Easter Trail will be running from March 25th to April 15th. Play With Clay workshops will be running between 28th March and 3rd April and will operate on a first come first served basis, therefore it is advisable to arrive early to avoid disappointment.
There is no charge for throwing a pot but charges will apply if visitors would like to take their creation home. Face painting and giant games will be available at World of Wedgwood on Monday 28th March. The Dining Hall’s special Easter menu will be available on Sunday 27th March. The Dining Hall’s Children’s Menu is served Monday – Sunday between 12noon and 3pm.
