The Great British Food Festival is set for a summer ‘tour’ of the Midlands this year, they are back bigger than ever at Ragley Hall, Warwickshire on the 11th & 12th June, and then to Shugborough Estate in Staffordshire on the 9th & 10th June, as well as a new addition to their summer calendar, Kelmarsh Estate, Northamptonshire on the 23rd & 24th July.

Set in the grounds of the these magnificent estates the festivals are open 10am-5pm each day and are a fantastic day out for any foodies.

One of The Great British Food Festival organisers, Daniel Maycock said

‘The festivals have gone down great in the area, so we have added on Kelmarsh as a new venue for this year as well. We have also been adding more things to our lineup, including a BBQ demo area and cooking from a camper demos, as well as some artisan bars, even more tasty street food and top producers.’

New for this year at Ragley & Kelmarsh will be a separate craft and gift stall marquee, so hopefully there is more choice for everyone and a bigger day out!’
Children will have the opportunity to learn new cookery skills in the Diddy Cook Classes which can be booked online or on the day at the Information Point for £3.50 per child.
Budding bakers can have free entry if they enter the now famous ‘cake off’, which is the food festivals baking competition, and is judged by the public and three expert judges.

There is lots going on at the event including great live music, free chef demos, tastings, kids rides and activities, a circus workshop and it goes without saying that there will also be a variety of great food and drink exhibitors showcasing a range of delicious local and regional products. A great foodie day out for the whole family.
