A recent request to the Lions was to see if they could help a local youngster with special needs.

Ben Herbert who suffers with a number of problems, one of them being a difficulty with walking, although he does not need a wheelchair it was thought that a specialist push chair might be the answer.

A pushchair suitable for 4 year old Ben that would be able to cope with his growth over the next few years was identified as an extra strong oversized chair known as “Jogger push chair”

A specialist company, Moorings Mediquip were able to supply the chair and the Lions were very pleased to be able to donate it to Ben. The Stone Lions hope he will be able to get many years of use out of the chair, and that it will be an asset for his family.
Ben’s Mum, Leah said

“The chair has made a tremendous difference to the family’s mobility, enabling me to move Ben much more freely”
