Stone Lions held their 37th Charter Anniversary Dinner at the Stone House Hotel

The Stone Lions held their 37th Charter Anniversary Dinner at the Stone House Hotel on Saturday 27th February 2016.

Present to celebrate the evening with Lion President Chris Handley were representatives from Lions clubs from far and near and guests from Stone Rotary Club.

Top table guests were Stone Town Mayor Cllr Mike Williamson, consort Cllr Margaret Goodall, District Governor Chris Aked and David Moreton and Hannah Rigden.

The Lions returned to the “Stone house” after a break of two years and enjoyed being back in familiar surroundings with plenty to eat and drink!

During the evening there were the usual speeches by Lion President and top table guests, including one by Stone Town Mayor Councillor Mike Williamson who recognised the support that Lions give to the town and how much this is appreciated by all who benefit.

District Governor Chris Aked presented service awards to Lions Dave and Chris Handley. Glenys Sanders, Graham Garner and Mike Potter with over 70 years of service between them.
