Young Farmers raise £3000 for Midlands Air Ambulance

Uttoxeter JNFU (also known as Uttoxeter Young Farmers) successfully celebrated their 85 years in style by putting on a pantomime called Johnny & The Bean Stalk on 19th-20th February at The JCB Lakeside Club in Rocester.

There were past and present members of Uttoxeter JNFU involved in the production, making up a cast of 65 members altogether!

The current Club President, Helen Phillips wrote and directed the pantomime making it a great success, in which the members were pleased with and can’t thank her enough. The two shows were packed full with 200 in the audience each night supporting and enjoying the show. All the cast have loved performing on stage giving them all a confidence boost and with an age range of 11 years to 60 years plus, it has bonded the generations of Uttoxeter Young Farmers closely.

Johnny Wilson, currently the Club Chairman said

“It’s been amazing to have such commitment from our members and past members with rehearsals taking place every Sunday night for 3 months. When it went so well on both nights, we couldn’t ask for anything better. We really have gelled as a team and I would recommend anyone to join Young Farmers. The members should be really proud for what they have achieved by putting on this pantomime in celebration of our 85 years as a club!”

The club are donating all the proceedings of £3000 from the two evenings to the Midlands Air Ambulance and would like to thank everyone for their support. They hope to have another 85 years of success.
