Local pub restaurants and soft play centres are searching the UK for families whose names match their occupations to find the real life Happy Family card game characters.

Local Fayre & Square pubs and Wacky Warehouses the New Florence on Sussex Place, the Plough Inn on Crewe Road in Alsager and the Darlaston Inn in Stone are looking to bring the classic family card game to life and create their very own Happy Family game. The pubs are asking the Mr Bakers and Miss Painters to enter themselves in the appeal to find a new set of families.
Six families will be chosen to star in the exclusive card game, and each family will receive a £500 holiday voucher, a Wacky Platinum Card, which gives entry to the Wacky Warehouse for life, a Wacky Warehouse kid’s party and £50 worth of vouchers for a meal at the Stoke-on-Trent pubs.

Daniel Taylor, general manager for the New Florence, said:

“We want to find the nation’s real life Happy Family characters – from Mrs Bacon the butcher to Mr Taylor the tailor, or Miss Pearly the dentist and Mr Chalk the teacher – we’re looking for anyone whose name relates to their occupation to feature on our cards with their families and win a fabulous prize.

“We want all families to go home happy when they visit their local Fayre & Square, and what better way to spread happiness than by bringing to life the fun and nostalgia of a classic family card game?”

To enter, candidates need to visit the Fayre & Square website

The appeal closes on Sunday 10 April at midnight.
