Charity ABBA Night to raise funds for Ebola orphans

One of the UK’s premier ABBA tribute bands is to perform in Stafford the night before the Eurovision Song Contest in May.

‘Abba Sensation’ relive the authentic ABBA experience with beautiful harmonies, oh-so-familiar costumes and choreography. The band even speak Swedish on stage.

The event is taking place on Friday 13th May 2016 at Couture/Top of the World in Stafford and has been organised by Jane Bewick Green, Midlands Fundraiser for Street Child.

“This one of the most sought after ABBA tribute bands in the world,” says Jane, “and I’m delighted they’re coming to Stafford for what is set to be a really fun night of classics like Waterloo, Dancing Queen and Mamma Mia! Once again, I’m lucky to have the support of the management and team at Couture and Top of the World, and all proceeds from the evening will go to help the thousands of children left orphaned by Ebola in West Africa.”

The Eurovision Song Contest this year is being held in ABBA’s hometown of Stockholm, Sweden, so Euro and Abba fever will be high that weekend. Stafford ABBA and Mamma Mia! fans are invited to get their glitter and lycra out and dress up in true ABBA style if they want to – with a bottle of champagne going to the best outfit on the night at Couture.

Earlybird e-tickets of £8.50 are available via and will also be on sale in Stafford’s Market Square on 23 April at the ‘Stafford in The World’ event or you can get tickets on the door on the night for £9.50

The ABBA Sensation band will perform for 90 minutes and there will be a 70s/80s disco as well. The evening lasts from 9pm – 1am. More info can be found on Couture Stafford’s Facebook page.
