The annual Lymelight Festival is returning this year to Newcastle-under-Lyme town centre form April 29 – May 2.
The event aims to gather music fanatics from in and around Staffordshire to enjoy a fun filled May Day Bank Holiday.
The event will take place on the interlinking location of High Street and Ironmarket where local bands and artists will perform live.
With two music stages over the four days as well as an Artisan Market, fairground, street food and children’s fun and games you will be sure to find something for everyone at the much anticipated event. Local brewery Lymestone Vaults, which is situated within the Town Centre is holding a real ale bar whilst outdoor music fills the stunning Queens Gardens.
Breast Cancer Now is this year’s chosen charity of the Lymelight Festival with the aim to raise awareness and vital funds necessary to support the millions of people who are diagnosed with breast cancer each year. The charity will be presenting a heritage trail around the town centre in support of the festival.
This year’s line-up aims to be better than ever with an eclectic mix of bands and solo artists all from the local area meaning there will be something to suit all specific tastes of genre.
Event organiser Richard Buxton said;
“Organised by The Hippy Hippy Shake Company Ltd, with the help of other independent businesses from Newcastle-under-Lyme and with support from Newcastle-under-Lyme BID, the event has gone from strength to strength. We expect 2016 to be our best festival ever.”
