– The headquarters of Spiritualism in the UK partners with doctors from Greenwich and Northampton Universities

– The course will analyse practical experience of research with mediumship

The Spiritualists’ National Union (SNU) is hosting an exclusive course offering a unique insight into scientific evidence on the relationship between mediumship and spirit communication. The course, entitled ‘Practical Experience of Research with Mediumship’ will take place at the Arthur Findlay Centre in Stafford from 13th-15th May 2016.

Despite the decades-old clash between science and religion, meaning some scientists are quick to dismiss the effects of Spiritualism, a small and dedicated community of scientists including tutors Professor Chris Roe, David Saunders, Rachel Evenden From Northampton University and Chris Connelly an SNU Award Holder have conducted a detailed investigation into spirit communication.

Welcoming all visitors who are interested in exploring the science behind Spiritualism, this SNU event will delve into verifiable evidence for the survival of bodily death.

The event will also welcome Dr David Luke from Greenwich University, who will be giving a lecture on his research into spirit communication in South America.

Minister David Bruton, President of the SNU, said: “It is fantastic to be partnering with both Greenwich and Northampton Universities, and to allow members of the public to learn more about the beliefs of Spiritualism. We are aware that, like the majority of religions, Spiritualism is prone to a stigma of scepticism, and we’re extremely thankful to the academics at the universities for supporting us in tackling this stigma, and allow the local community to find out more about the spirit world from a rational scientific perspective.”

Dr David Luke at Greenwich University comments: “This event provides the perfect opportunity for people interested in the link between mediumship and scientific evidence to come along and learn more about the research findings. It’s a great way to expand your knowledge while meeting like-minded individuals!”

Places on the three day course cost £150, including lunch and refreshments throughout the day. For more information, or to book your place, contact the Arthur Findlay Centre on 01785 615513.
