Katharine House Hospice’s popular “Swing Fore Katharine” mixed golf day returns for its sixth year on 23rd June at Brocton Hall Golf club. The hospice is calling on local teams to take part.

Hospice Corporate Fundraiser Holly Addison said:

“We are very honoured to be supported by Pickering and Butters Solicitors each year. They have supported Katharine House Hospice in many different ways for 21 years now which is just incredible. It is a pleasure to work with them on our Swing Fore Katharine event and we couldn’t host such a great event without their loyal support.”

The popular event in the local golfing calendar has been kindly sponsored form the beginning by local law firm Pickering and Butters Solicitors.

Sean Spinetto, Partner and Solicitor at Pickering and Butters said:

“Pickering and Butters are extremely proud to have been a loyal supporter of Katharine House Hospice for such a long time and a ‘Ten Local Company’ sponsor for over a decade. The Partners and staff at the firm all truly value the work which the Hospice undertakes for the local community.”

This year’s Swing Fore Katharine event will take place at Brocton Hall Golf Club on Thursday 23rd June, and it promises to be a challenging day of golf in beautiful surroundings – with the added benefit of raising funds for a vital local cause.

As well as entering teams, local businesses also have the opportunity to put their company on course by sponsoring a hole for £100 (they can provide graphics and company literature to display near the tee and in the event programme).

Katharine House Hospice provides free care for local people living with a progressive illness and support for their families. The Hospice began as a “Hospice at Home” service in 1989 and now provides a range of free services at the Hospice and in the community. Each year it costs the Hospice £2.9m to provide care and this is largely due to the kindness and generosity of local people and businesses who help to provide 75% of the funds required.
