There will be a Towathon challenge on Sunday 19 June from 2pm onwards at Alleyne’s Sports Centre, Oulton Road, Stone.
Swimmers can learn basic lifesaving skills. Events taking place include a towathon for under-7s from 3-3.30pm and an over-7s and family towathon from 3.30-4.30pm.
Free drowning prevention workshops take place in the pool from 2pm onwards, with those interested asked to contact the centre on 01785 815715 to enrol.
There will also be a colouring competition for under-7s.
The event is being organised as part of National Drowning Prevention Week from 18-26 June, in conjunction with Royal Life Saving Society UK.
Sponsorship is not needed with people asked simply to come along and make a donation on the day.
