HeavyCon – the world’s largest rock and metal fan convention, announces the first Antiques Rock Show, in partnership with Bonhams auctioneers.

The Antiques Rock Show will be a unique service and opportunity for HeavyCon visitors to have their prized rock memorabilia valued by professionals from prestigious auctioneers Bonhams. If happy with the expert’s appraisal of your Rock memorabilia you will have the option to consign it to a Bonhams auction in December.

Bonhams is the only global auction house to hold dedicated Entertainment Memorabilia auctions in the UK and USA. Their experience in the field has led to exceptional prices for artists such as The Grateful Dead, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Queen, The Clash, The Cure and many more.

“We are very excited to attend this year’s Heavycon. We hope to see a plethora of highly treasured Rock Memorabilia, and anticipate much will be offered in a Bonhams auction.”

Katherine Schofield, Head of Entertainment Memorabilia

HeavyCon takes place at Birmingham NEC on 30th September – 2nd October.

Tickets are available at https://www.theticketfactory.com/heavycon/online/

HeavyCon visitors are encouraged to dust off anything they think might have some value – signed memorabilia, vintage clothing, pre-owned rock star kit – and bring it along for an on-the-spot valuation. You could be sitting on a small fortune…

A recent Bonhams entertainment memorabilia auction saw various rock pieces fetch thousands of pounds, including a 100% sale rate for guitar legend Gary Moore’s Collection of guitars & amps (£140,000), Freddie Mercury’s lyric handbook (£62,500), Sex Pistols promo materials (£1,625). The demand for a piece of rock history, big or small, in today’s collector’s market is high, and with Bonhams on site to give expert advice and guidance, HeavyCon visitors could unearth some serious treasure.
