Scout Group in Stone receive more scouting awards

The County Scout Commissioner for Staffordshire was again attending for the second time in one week a scout group in Stone to present more scouting awards.

Paula Evans presented Caron Dudley with scouting’s Award of Silver Acorn for distinguished service and contribution to the scout movement for nearly thirty years.

The presentation took place at Oulton Scout Group’s end of term family fun night on Friday 15th July.

Eileen Lovatt, Stone & District Commissioner who was also present, had also two days earlier been awarded a Silver Acorn alongside Ian Evans a District Explorer Leader from Aston & Little Stoke Scout group. John Barker, the Chair of Stone & District was also awarded a 60 year service award.

The photo also shows Katie Dudley, a young leader with Oulton group, who was also presented with her young leader’s mission badges which she had worked for over the last year. Between the four adult leaders who received awards this week from the County Commissioner, over 140+ years of service between them was recognised.
