Families are invited to bring their bucket and spades and join in at the Summer Seaside Fun Day at Cannock Chase Children’s Centre on Tuesday 16 August from 1 – 3pm.
The event, open to families and children up to the age of 11, promises activities including arts and craft, foody fun, baby play, sand and water play, face painting, bouncy castle, free ice-cream and refreshments.
The event is also being supported by local organisations who will be offering support and advice on the day. Some of these include Cannock Chase Leisure Centre, Support Staffordshire, West Chadsmoor Family Centre, Community Fire Service, Department for Work and Pensions, Cannock Library and many more.
Mark Sutton, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People at Staffordshire County Council said:
“Last year’s event was a real success and we hope to see even more families this year. The fun day is a great opportunity for local families to have some fun and find out about all the different services available within the area and within the children’s centre. I would encourage everyone to come along and see what help is available.”
The children’s centre acts as a hub for the local community with lots on offer for families of children under 5. Early years sessions to help children to get the best start in life are available along with information, advice and guidance for parents on adult learning courses and employability skills.
