The rich copper ale is now available in Joule’s pubs and across the Joule’s heartland . The Brewery invited its tenants, customers and local suppliers to a preview evening of the new copper ale, on the 20th July. The evening saw sampling of No.1 Stone Ale and an introduction to the beer from Neil Bain, Brewery Director at Joule’s. The evening also included Staffordshire savouries, live music and a guest appearance from the Mayor of Stone.
Joule’s Brewery introduced a seasonal ale collection back in 2013 adding to their core range of cask ales, Joule’s Pale Ale, Slumbering Monk and Pure Blonde. Their latest season, No.1 Joule’s Stone Ale promises to be ‘A complex, copper coloured ale created using no less than five English malts, including crystal rye, which when coupled with English and New Zealand hops, delivers a distinctive beer rich in fruit and spice character with a long dry finish.’ Neil Bain, Joule’s Brewery Director comments,
“No.1 Stone Ale features two of my favourite hops namely Motueka and Nelson Sauvin, both grown in Nelson, New Zealand which add spice, citrus and wine character to a delicious malty base, we hope you enjoy…”.
‘It was a delight to launch No.1 Stone Ale in such an important place to us, especially as Langtry’s formerly The Bridge Inn, an original Joule’s House. I was overwhelmed with the community support and it was fantastic to see Publicans, Sponsorships and Joule’s friends joining us from across Shropshire, Staffordshire and Cheshire to celebrate the launch. No.1 Stone Ale is now available to order and will be on a Joule’s bar near you very soon…’
