Help solve the fairy housing crisis!

fairy-house

A shortage of miniature housing means that the fairy village at RSPB Coombes Valley now has more fairies than homes!

There have even been a few elves turning up in search of a place to call their own, adding to the demand. To remedy this, the team at Coombes Valley are asking the public to come along and help build new fairy and elf accommodation on 10 and 11 September, from 11 am to 4 pm.

Whether you make a home to add to the RSPB’s fairy village or want to create your own elf bungalow or fairy mansion to take home, there will be lots of opportunities to get creative and have some fun. The team will be on hand to help out with giving you ideas and creating your masterpiece.

Every contribution to the fairy village is welcomed, no matter how small, so drop in at any time and build as much or as little as you like. Once you’ve finished with the workshop why not take a wander down the woodland trail in search of the fairy village, where you’ll feel like a giant next to the tiny houses. Stop along the way to build a den, make a potion in the mud kitchen or let your imagination run wild in the story circle. There’s lots to do for all the family!

The event will take place in the craft barn and teas and coffees will be available in the yurt. The workshop will cost £7.50 per child with 20% off for RSPB members (includes parking).
