Fifteen of the clubs in the Rotary District that covers Staffordshire, Shropshire and parts of the West Midlands provided multiple adapted games for the free Rotary Disability Sports Fun Day.
Held at the Fenton Manor Sports Complex, the sun shone and a brilliant day was enjoyed by competitors, families and organisers alike.
It was appropriate that this year’s Rotary Disability Sports Fun Day should be held during the Rio Paralympics when Great Britain were winning gold medals.
Competitors in the Rotary event were all winners, each one receiving a certificate of achievement from Rotarian John Sayer, District Governor.
Said District Disability Sports Fun Day Co-ordinator Rotarian Brian Reilly:
“Thanks go to all the competitors and their families who came along to enjoy the event.
“We look forward to seeing them all again next year.”
