Drum role please . . . . . we’re delighted to announce that Champion Jockey Sir AP McCoy OBE will be the special guest joining Phil Taylor and Barry Hearn at The Donna Louise Sports Dinner on Tuesday 29th November 2016.
During his record-breaking career, Sir AP McCoy rode 4358 winners and was Champion Jockey 20 consecutive times, winning almost every big race there is to win including the Cheltenham Gold Cup, King George VI Chase and the 2010 Grand National. He was named Sports Personality of the Year in 2010, becoming the first jockey to win the award – and beating Phil Taylor to the title!
Speaking about joining the panel at The Donna Louise Sports Dinner, Sir AP said
“I’m excited to be joining the greatest darts player of all time, Phil The Power Taylor to raise funds for The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice. The charity does great work supporting life-threatened children, young people and their families and I’m glad to be able to help this great cause.”
Sir AP will definitely have some interesting, and maybe even painful, stories to tell about his highly successful horse-racing career. Having competed in, and won, thousands of race he’s ridden the equivalent of 1.7 times around the world and broken bones more than 700 times in the process!
Chelsey Farmer, Relationship Manager at The Donna Louise said

He’s one of the most successful jockeys of all time, so along with 16-time World Darts Champion Phil Taylor, and Barry Hearn – one of the most powerful and colourful characters in sport – it promises to be a winning line up for sports fans!”
The Sports Dinner, on Tuesday 29th November, will include a four course meal followed by an “on the sofa” style question and answer session with the three guest speakers. The evening will be hosted by TV Personality Nick Hancock and will conclude with comedian Mick Ferry. Tickets are available now, priced at £60 per person.
