Companies have the chance to bid for Stafford Borough’s bin collection service as the tender process officially gets under way.

Companies looking to bid for Stafford Borough Council’s largest contract have until 1pm on Friday 25 November to complete and return a Selection Questionnaire.

The current contract is operated by Biffa and ends in less than eighteen months’ time. The winning bidder for the new 10-year contract will be decided next year before the new arrangement starts in February 2018.

The current service deals with residual waste, recycling and garden waste, as well as collections of electronic equipment, bulky waste and recycling from other sites. Earlier this year a new kerbside textiles collection service was also launched.
