The Opera Dudes – ‘Mission Improbable’
Broughton Parish Room, Wetwood
Saturday, 29th October 2016 at 7.30 pm

Broughton Parish Room,Wetwood, ST21 6NW (on the B5026 Loggerheads to Eccleshall Road) is the venue at 7.30 pm on Saturday 29th October for what is described as an ‘outrageously brilliant operatic cabaret.’

The Opera Dudes are two tenors from very different backgrounds – a posh former Cambridge scholar (Tim Lole) and an ex-builder turned international operatic tenor (Neil Allen)!  Neil started singing in the pubs and clubs of Nottingham when he was still working as a builder, and Tim first sang as a cathedral chorister before studying at Cambridge and pursuing a career as a conductor and pianist.

Opera brought the two together, and they have created an act which combines their many years of musical training with an equally long time spent messing about.  Their ‘Mission Improbable’ is to entertain with Grand Opera, West End showstoppers, heart-rending ballads, classical piano, ridiculous impressions and slapstick humour all on the same bill.

The concert is being staged courtesy of Live & Local Ltd. with financial support from the Arts Council England and Staffordshire County Council, and is in aid of Broughton Tennis Club. It is suitable for all (7+ yrs) and tickets @ £10 for all adults and £7 for under-16s can be ordered from Judy Thompstone (01630 620225) or Louise Butter (01630 620479).
