Tuesday 14th March will see Staffordshire FA host their annual Disability Talent Identification Day.

The FA Disability Talent Identification Programme (TIP) is the entry point to the England Disability Talent Pathway which will be utilised to identify and signpost players to the right environment for their development. The TIP is used to identify players with prospect to move up the England Disability Talent Pathway.

There are 30 England Talent Days taking place up and down the country which are being used to look at players aged 12-16 and conclude whether they are ready to take the next steps in their football pathway. The Staffordshire England Talent Day is to be held at Ormiston Sir Stanley Matthews Academy, Stoke on Tuesday 14th March 2017 with successful players advancing into a six week assessment/signposting period.

The Talent ID Day also looks for players currently playing within mainstream football leagues, who would be eligible to play within national disability teams:

• Cerebral Palsy
• Partially Sighted
• Deaf Male
• Deaf Female
• Learning Disability
• Amputee
• Blind

It is important to note that players MUST be recruited in order to attend the England Talent Day as players cannot turn up on the day and expect to play.

If you are aware of any players who may be eligible for the above please get in touch with Football Development Officer (Disability), Gemma Turner via gemma.turner@staffordshirefa.com.
