Stone Community Hub’s second AGM was held on Thursday 20th October with a good attendance from members, volunteers, supporters, local councillors and other interested individuals and organisations, writes Manager Karen Wardell.
It was encouraging that 31 people attended to show their support. Town mayor Jim Davis spoke about the importance of the work done by the Hub for many groups in the Stone Community. Trustee Judith Kelt said
“It’s become a welcome drop-in centre for many giving advice on employment, debt issues, housing and other concerns but it is also a place to meet for a chat and a cup of coffee”.
The Treasurer’s report mentioned particular thanks to Stone Town Council for their help whilst the Hub establishes financial self-sufficiency.
