Stone’s Christmas Light Switch On – Thursday 17th November


Olympic champion Joe Clarke will find time in his busy schedule to drop in and light up the town for us this year.

The event on 17th November is being organised and staged by Stone Town Council and presented by community radio station Stone Radio.

There will be live music from 2016 X Factor Contestant Kirby Frost, and from Jake Shakeshaft, who was a Eurovision 2016 entrant and also appeared on BBc1’s The voice. The Combined Schools Choir will also be in attendance and will perform from 5.30pm, bringing a truly festive feel to the proceedings (let’s hope for snow!)

If you’ve been before, you’ll know what to expect, a packed high street from top to bottom, it’s the biggest event to take place in Stone High street, so make sure you get into town early to claim a good spot. The ever popular Warwicks Funfair will be set up in the square, and there will be food stalls and trade stalls A limited number of stalls will be available.

For Registered charities, who benefit Stone, there will be no charge, for businesses a charge of £25.00 will be made. Each pitch will be 3 metre x 3metre in size and covered.
