On Sunday 29 January, RSPB Coombes Valley is inviting visitors to make their own bird feeders and learn how to identify some of the birds you may encounter during the Big Garden Birdwatch, which runs from the 28 to the 30 January 2017.
The yurt will be open between 11am and 3pm, for anyone who wants help to make a birdfeeder, a seed bomb, or a bird’s nest. All materials will be provided.
There will also be a bird-spotting sheet to fill out as you walk around the reserve, and entry into a prize draw for everyone who tries to complete it. We have three prizes of a beautiful metal birdfeeder to be won.
Rachel Harrison, RSPB visitor experience intern, said:
“Test your ID skills and improve your knowledge of what could be spotted in your garden over the weekend. After taking part in our bird-spotting activity, the whole family will be ready to take part in the Big Garden Birdwatch event.”
This is a drop-in session from 11 am to 3 pm, so just turn up and join in.
Event costs £3 per adult with 20% off for RSPB members.
