On Valentines day 14th February Dougie Mac opened its 20th retail store at 4 Orchard Place, Barlaston.

The ribbon was cut by Barlaston resident Liz Quick. Liz has been a volunteer and ambassador for Dougie Mac for over 22 years, so it was a fitting tribute she was chosen to open the store.

Liz told the Gazette

“I am delighted to be asked to open this shop today. It is a great honour and I will certainly support this shop by donating my unwanted goods so that the Dougie Mac can raise invaluable funds. I think this shop will be great for the community of Barlaston and surrounding area.“

Volunteers are required to assist in the shop on a daily basis and if anyone is interested they should call 01782 344332 or email volunteernow@dmhospice.org.uk

If you have any items to donate please drop them in at the shop. To find out more about Dougie Mac Hospice see www.dmhospice.org.uk/
