The Opera Dudes return to Salt Village Hall

Salt Village Hall Committee have arranged another of their popular Live and Local shows to raise funds for the village hall.

The Opera Dudes are returning this time with their show Mission Improbable. A fantastic blend of opera, swing and show songs, sensational voices and good clean ‘Carry On’ fun. What are the chances of an ex-brickie and an ex-Cambridge scholar teaming up for one of the most unusual musical duos since Morecambe and Wise? This is Mission Improbable! The one where two French waiters come face to face and the audience learn the hidden mysteries of Bel Canto!
One moment powerful tenors Tim Lole and Neil Allen will move you to tears by the emotion of an intense operatic aria – the next they’re making you cry with laughter at their slapstick humour and comedy impressions.

Following formal musical studies at Trinity College Cambridge, Tim Lole’s freelance career has encompassed performances with The Royal Opera House, City of Birmingham Touring Opera, Scottish Opera, Glyndebourne Opera and Opera North.

Neil Allen came to singing later than most and via the unusual route of bricklayer then singing comedy duo hobbyist. After private training, however, Neil’s concert platform work has been extensive, and he has sung with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, City of London Sinfonia and the Orchestra of Opera North.

The show starts at 7.30pm on Saturday 18th March for one night only
