Sugnall Hall, just outside of Eccleshall, has been extensively refurbished and is now available for private and corporate bookings, for a wide range of events, meetings and occasions.

The 14-bedroom hall, which dates back to the late 18th century, is set in extensive grounds, including formal gardens, lawns and a half-timbered children’s play-house.

Whilst the hall is in the heart of rurality it is easily accessible, being only 2 minutes from Eccleshall town centre, or if you’re travelling from further afield there’s a landing area for those travelling by helicopter!

The Jacques family have owned the hall and 1300-acre estate since Victorian times and it is where the current owner David grew up, and has lived since inheriting the property in 1993.

Commenting on the opening up Sugnall Hall for corporate and private functions Dr David Jacques, a widely-published garden historian, said: “I now live alone and decided around 18 months ago that I didn’t need 14 bedrooms, but had no wish to sell the family home.

“I also wanted to launch a new business and I think that Sugnall Hall will be ideal for private parties, family celebrations and corporate events. It offers complete privacy and the hall will only be let out to one client at a time — there will be no mixing with guests from other events.”

Catering is included when booking the hall, but guests can choose to cater for their own party. They can also book a range of optional extras, including chefs and waiting-on staff and a variety of country pursuits can also be organised, including riding, shooting and fishing.

Sugnall Hall will only be available for one event at a time, which ensures exclusivity and complete privacy. It is a unique venue that is available to customers looking for something quite different where guests will feel immediately at home.

The hall offers overnight accommodate for up to 28 guests and can cater for up to 100 guests in the oak-panelled Billiard Room.
