Saturday nights set to sizzle at Trentham this Summer

Summer is set to be hotter than ever at Staffordshire’s Trentham Estate this year, following the announcement that the popular visitor destination will be hosting its largest number of lakeside concerts yet.

But anyone wanting to join in the fun will need to dance to a quicker beat this year to hit the right tune in the rush for tickets – which go on sale from 3 April.

Last year around 20,000 people enjoyed the lakeside concerts, with tickets for the 10 summer Saturday night parties selling out in record time.

This year, Trentham, on the edge of Stoke-on-Trent, has added two more dates to the diary, offering partygoers a chance to choose from 12 concert nights for 2017.

Every Saturday night from 17 June – 2 September, the Trentham Estate will host a tribute band in a magical lakeside setting, featuring everything from Motown to rock, Spice Girls to Coldplay.

A highlight for 2017 is likely to be the ‘Totally 80s’ tribute night, popular not only for the music, but for the most colourful and imaginative costumes. Other party night performances will include tributes to ABBA, Take That and Queen.

The complete line-up is: Saturday 17 June: A Tribute to Madness and Ska; 24th June: Rock The Night Away; 1 July: Pure 70s; 8 July: A Tribute to ABBA; 15 July: A Tribute to the Spice Girls; 22 July: One Night of Soul and Motown; 29 July: A Tribute to Coldplay; 5 August: Totally 80s; 12 August: A Tribute to The Jam and The Police; 19 August: A Tribute to Queen; 26 August: A Tribute to Take That; 2 Sept: 90s Mania.

Whichever summer date tempts, all the concerts run from 7.30pm until 10pm (gates open at 4pm), and each nighttime spectacular will once again include a bar and BBQ until late, although people are welcome to bring their own packed picnics too.

And as well as being treated to the lakeside evening views and music, party people will be able to enjoy some of the finer flavours of summer too, with a Pimms, Gins and Prosecco bar, while little tubs of Snugburys ice cream will also be available.

Advance tickets cost £17 adults, £15 concessions/children. Annual Ticket holders and groups of 12 or more also benefit from discounted tickets. Discounted tickets are also available in advance online priced at £16 adults and £14 for concessions/children and groups of 12 or more.
