Tracey Rogers and Kathryn Hyde of Stone are currently campaigning to raise money for charity Breast Cancer Care.

The twosome has planned participation in a couple of sports events over the coming months, and will be holding a bake sale at The Velo Store in Stone on Saturday the 15th of April from 10:45 AM.

On Sunday the 19th March Kathryn will be running the Stafford Half Marathon along with 4,000 other participants. The 13.1 mile run starts and ends in Stafford town centre and incorporates two steady climbs.

The ladies will also be riding Prudential RideLondon 100 together on Sunday the 30th of July. The 100 mile ride begins at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in east London, taking riders past Canary Wharf and through the City of London before heading out to the stunning Surrey Countryside.

On their return into London they will pass many of London’s famous landmarks before a spectacular finish on The Mall.

And as if that wasn’t enough, Tracey will be riding another 100 miles on the 24th of September in the Velo Birmingham sportive.

In total the girls will cover 313.1 miles all together.

Kathryn said

“Training for the Stafford Half has been tough through the winter months and not without its set-backs; however both Tracey and I have been and will continue to put maximum effort into completing the challenges.

We chose to support Breast Cancer Care after the ongoing treatment of a close friend of Tracey’s raised our awareness of the harsh impact of breast cancer on people’s lives.

Nobody should feel alone when facing cancer and Breast Cancer Care provides vital support for those affected.”

If you would like to support the ladies, who have an ambitious goal of £1,000, you can donate online at

Every donation counts no matter how small and the ladies would like to thank anybody who has helped them along the way.
