The fourth Croxton Well Dressing will take place on Saturday 1st July. As before, the main well dressing will be erected at Boughey’s Well, Main Road, Croxton, (on the B5026 between Eccleshall and Loggerheads).
This year’s theme is relevant to us all, namely ‘Supporting the Community – the Emergency Services.’ The well will be officially opened by Staffordshire Police and Crime Commissioner Matthew Ellis, and then receive a traditional blessing by the Revd Terry Williams and Revd John Day.
Co-ordinated by Broughton Women’s Institute, the well dressing continues to be a great communal effort. Pupils from All Saints First School, Standon will be creating a well dressing this year, and participation from other individuals or groups within the community is welcomed.
There will be music and many other activities taking place around the well and in the Millennium Wood across the road, followed by an afternoon concert in Croxton Church featuring Broughton Community Choir and much more local talent.
Full details of the day’s programme will be available shortly on www.croxtonwelldressing.weebly.com.
If you would like to help, be involved in some way, take part in the concert, or would just like to know more about it all, please contact Ros Langford on 01630 620545.
