Oulton First School’s Year 4 spent three days at Stanley Head Outdoor Education Centre at the end of March.
They learned how to build shelters and fires, used their mapping and cooking skills on a 10 km hike and learned about which plants and trees are edible. Other highlights included archery, team building and a blindfold obstacle course.
The Year 3 children had an amazing two days of activities at Kibblestone, also at the end of March.
The first day learnt how to track, build shelters and cook over a wood fire. On the second day they went caving and bouldering and, then had a go at archery, before finishing the activities with some crate stacking. Everyone had a fantastic time and learnt so much.
